Vijay Engineering Corporation

Vijay Engineering Corporation is located on Asaf Ali Road, which is a stretch of the city that always feels like it is moving at double speed. We are specifically at No. 2, 3/8, and you have to head up to the third floor to find us. Climbing those stairs is part of the daily routine, and it definitely keeps us moving. Being on the third floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is usually a mess of cars and buses. Our space is filled with engineering components and a lot of technical manuals that have seen better days. It is an old-school office vibe where we have big desks covered in blueprints and spare parts. We don’t use any fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still done with pen and paper and old ledgers. People come to us when they need something specific for a project, and we spend a lot of time just chatting about how to fix mechanical issues. The building has that classic look of the older business districts in Delhi, with high ceilings and heavy doors. It gets a bit cold in the winter and very stuffy in June, but we are used to it by now. We focus on the engineering side of things and leave the flashy stuff to the newer companies in the malls. It’s just a regular office where we do our work and go home.
