H M Engineering Works

Our workshop, H M Engineering Works, is situated in Anand Parbat, Gali No 11, at number 23/8. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery and metal clanging nearby. We aren’t a retail store with glass windows. It’s a place where work gets done. The floor usually has some metal shavings on it, and there’s the smell of oil and grease in the air. We’ve been here for a while, taking on various engineering jobs that come our way. People bring us parts that need fixing or designs that need to be made into something real. We have a few machines that have been with us for years. They aren't the newest models, but they work well because we take care of them. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the materials and tools lying around. We know where everything is, though. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we have to wait it out. That’s just part of being in Anand Parbat. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations. The work speaks for itself. If someone needs a piece of metal cut or a part welded, they come to Gali No 11. We just get on with the task. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We close up when the sun goes down and the street gets quiet. It is a steady way to make a living in this part of town.
