Verma Engg. Works

You can find Verma Engg. Works at Z-13, Gali No.4 in the Anand Parbat Industrial Area. If you have ever been to Anand Parbat, you know it is a maze of small lanes and busy workshops. Gali No. 4 is always packed with people moving materials and machines. Our shop is just one of many in the area, but we’ve carved out our own little space here. We do a lot of general engineering work, mostly involving repairs and small-scale manufacturing. The shop is small and every inch of space is used for something, whether it’s a machine or a rack for parts. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there is always some oil on the floor or metal shavings under the benches, but it’s an active workshop. We don’t really do marketing or anything like that; people usually find us through word of mouth or just by walking down the alley. Working in an industrial area like this means there is always someone to borrow a tool from or ask for advice. It’s a loud, busy, and sometimes messy way to make a living, but we enjoy the challenge of fixing things that others can't. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively. By the time we close up the shutters at night, we’re usually pretty tired, but it’s a good kind of tired that comes from a day of real work.
