Universal Engineering Works

At 691-692 Muqim Pura, you will find our shop, Universal Engineering Works. Being near the Old Subzi Mandi means there is a lot of life around us every single day. Our workspace is pretty traditional. We do not have air conditioning or fancy tiled floors. Instead, we have solid concrete and heavy workbenches that have seen years of use. We do a lot of custom metalwork and repairs for people in the neighborhood and beyond. It is the kind of place where you can hear a hammer hitting an anvil from a block away. We keep our tools hung up on the walls, though they do not always stay there when we are in the middle of a big project. Sometimes the floor gets cluttered with scrap metal, but we try to clear it out once a week. We are not interested in corporate talk or big marketing plans. We just want to do a decent job on the projects we take on. Our customers usually find us through word of mouth because we have been in this same spot for so long. It is a noisy, dusty, and busy way to make a living, but it is what we know how to do. We usually close up when the sun goes down and start again early the next morning.
