Isha Auto Engineering

Isha Auto Engineering is located down at Anand Parbat Gali No 7 14/15. This part of town is always noisy with the sound of metal hitting metal and machines running. Our workshop is full of heavy machinery and the smell of oil and grease that never really goes away from our skin. We spend our days working on various auto parts, fixing things that have worn out or broken down over time. My clothes usually have a few black smudges on them by lunch time. We have a lot of old tools hanging on the walls and spare parts scattered across the workbenches in the back. It might look disorganized to some, but we know exactly where the 12mm wrench is when we need it in a hurry. Gali No 7 is quite narrow, so getting larger pieces of equipment in and out can be a real struggle sometimes. We often have to work late under a single bright bulb to finish a job for a customer who needs their vehicle back by tomorrow morning. The floor is concrete and pretty stained from years of heavy work. We don't have a front office or a waiting room; people just stand around the entrance and talk while we do the repairs. It’s a tough, dirty job but someone has to do it. We’ve been in this same spot for years and the neighbors are used to it.
