Salwa Foods Pvt Ltd is at D-147 on Guru Gobind Singh Marg. We’re a food company, but we don't do anything too fancy or high-tech. It's mostly about processing and making sure the things are packed right for delivery. The building is an older one, so it has some character, and maybe a few leaks in the roof when it rains really hard during the monsoon. We have a small crew here. Most of us live nearby in the neighborhood, so we just walk or cycle to work every morning. The smells in the building change depending on what we are working on that particular day. Sometimes it’s strong spices, sometimes it’s something else entirely. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a receptionist sitting there. You just walk in through the main door and someone will probably be around to help you out. We mostly focus on getting the daily orders out on time. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving wooden boxes around the warehouse floor. Our boss is usually right there with us on the floor, not hiding in some air-conditioned office. We’ve had some tough times like everyone else in business, but we keep going. The street outside is always crowded with cycle rikshaws and delivery vans blocking the way. It makes it hard to load the trucks sometimes, but we manage to get it done. We aren't looking to change the world, just trying to provide decent products from our little corner on Guru Gobind Singh Marg.
