Haldirams

Haldirams at 44/11 V.P.C.I. Staff Flats on Probyn Road is a small place near the university. We aren't one of those massive restaurants you see in the city center. This spot is mostly for the people who live in the staff flats and the students who are always walking by. We have the usual stuff like snacks and sweets. The space inside is pretty small, so it gets crowded very quickly when classes are over. We spend a lot of our time packing orders for people to take away. It is a busy little corner of Delhi University. The road outside is usually full of rickshaws and students, which makes things a bit chaotic. We just focus on getting the food out and keeping the line moving. The staff here has been around for a long time, so we see the same faces every day for tea or samosas. It is a simple operation. We don’t have fancy tables or much decor. It is just about the food and getting it to the customers. The summer heat makes the shop a bit stuffy, but we have the fans on. It’s a convenient spot for a quick bite if you are around Probyn Road. We have been at this address for a long time and we know how things work here. It is just a regular part of the daily routine for us and the students.
