Sagar Food Pvt Ltd is tucked away in Gali Peepal Wali, number 2899, right off Old Rohtak Road. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to move out of the way for every bike or cart that passes by. We’ve been in this exact spot for many years now. The building is quite old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works perfectly fine for what we do. We handle various food products, mostly dry goods that stay fresh for a long time. It’s a lot of manual bagging and sealing things up. The noise from the main street is constant, but you stop hearing it after a few months of working here. We aren't a big factory with machines doing everything. We are a local operation with about ten people. We all know each other’s business and family stories by now. It makes the long work day go by a lot faster. Sometimes we share our lunch together in the back room where it's a bit quieter than the street. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. People just know us from being around for so long in the neighborhood. If a machine breaks down, we usually try to fix it ourselves with a wrench before calling a professional. It’s a hands-on kind of place. Old Rohtak Road is always busy and dusty, and our little gali is no different. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It is steady and keeps us busy.
