You will find us in Gali No. 12, right near Khushi Ram Lohey Wala in the Anand Parbat Industrial Area. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know the lanes are narrow and always crowded with trucks and carts. Our shop, number 22/1, is usually filled with the sound of metal hitting metal. It’s a loud place, and the air always smells a bit like burnt oil and cooling fluid. We have a few machines that have been running for years, and they still do the job just fine even if they look a bit worn out. The floor is concrete and covered in tiny metal shavings that we sweep up at the end of the shift. Most of our day is spent looking at drawings or measuring parts with calipers. It gets very hot in the summer months, especially when all the shops in the Gali are working at full capacity. We usually have a tea break around four when the vendor comes around with his kettle. It’s an honest way to spend the day, just making parts and finishing orders as they come in. There isn't much space to move around once the raw material gets delivered and stacked near the door. We just focus on the work on the bench and try to get things done before the lights go off for the evening. It's a tough area, but we're used to it.
