We’re right in the middle of things at 159 Kamla Market, on Asaf Ali Road. It’s a really hectic area, always crowded with people, carts, and rickshaws. Our shop isn’t very big, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve been here for quite a while now. Dealing with the daily rush of Kamla Market is just part of our lives. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, stuffed with all sorts of things. Most of the time, we’re busy talking to customers who drop in or answering the phone that never seems to stop ringing. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We aren't the type of place that cares about looking fancy or modern. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that. People come to us because they know we’ve been here for years and we know our way around the trade. It’s a local business through and through. We know the other shopkeepers on the street and we often help each other out when someone needs something. Life on Asaf Ali Road is never boring, that’s for sure. We just take each day as it comes, helping the people who walk through our door and making sure the shop is ready for the next morning. It's just what we do here.
