Rajdhani Engineering Works

At Rajdhani Engineering Works, we’re located at 189/B Jhandewalan. We are quite close to Tagore Garden, which is a useful landmark when people are trying to find us. The shop is usually a bit of a mess, but it’s a productive mess. There are tools everywhere, pieces of metal, and the smell of oil and grease is pretty much permanent. I’ve been working with machines most of my life, so I don’t mind the grime. We spend our days fixing things, welding, and making sure the equipment brought to us actually works again. It’s loud, and the floor is always a bit stained, but that’s an engineering shop for you. I have a couple of guys who work with me, and we just get on with it. We don't have a front office with air conditioning. If you want to talk to me, you’ll usually find me in the back with a wrench in my hand. Jhandewalan is a tough place to work sometimes because it's so crowded, but it's also where all the parts and suppliers are. We don't do any fancy branding or have a mission statement on the wall. We just look at what’s broken and try to figure out a way to fix it without charging an arm and a leg. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Every day is a bit different depending on what walks through the door. We just keep our heads down and work.
