Prerna Enterprises

We are located in the Anand Parbat Industrial Area, specifically at Gali No 4, A 6. Prerna Enterprises is basically a workshop where we deal with small machine parts and some metal work. It’s noisy here because of the machines running in the background and the other factories in the lane. There’s always a smell of oil and cut metal in the air that you just get used to after a while. The floor is concrete and has some deep stains from the coolant we use on the lathes. We’ve got a couple of old machines and some hand tools that have been with us since we first opened the doors. It’s not a place for sitting down; we’re usually on our feet moving heavy things around or checking the measurements on a piece of steel. The light comes in through the big front shutter when it’s rolled up in the morning. We don't really have a front office, just a small corner with a wooden desk where we keep the bills and the old ledger. It’s a lot of hard work and the days are long, especially when a big order comes in and we have to stay late. Most of our clients are other small businesses around the area who need specific components made for their own projects. We don't do much advertising at all, people just find us by word of mouth or by walking down the Gali. It’s a bit messy with scraps of metal in bins, but we clear it out every week.
