We’ve been at 16/24 East Patel Nagar for quite some time now. Powercom India Ltd. isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything. It’s just us in this office. Most days start with tea and checking the logs. The neighborhood is busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to park. We deal with a lot of technical stuff, mostly power related obviously, but it's just regular work. Sometimes the internet acts up or the phone rings too much. We just handle things as they come. It's not always smooth. Last week the light in the hallway flickered for three days before we fixed it. That’s just how it is here. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know each other's moods. If you come by, you’ll see some old files stacked up and some computers that have seen better days. It gets a bit hot in the summer because the AC in the back room is old. We don’t mind it much. We just get through the lists and make sure things are moving. It’s a quiet life in East Patel Nagar, away from the big main road noise mostly. We keep to ourselves and do the work. It’s just a job, but we try to do it right without making a big deal about it. Some days are busier than others, especially when there’s a backlog of paperwork. We just sit here and get on with it.
