We are on Bank Street, which is basically the heart of the jewelry trade in this part of New Delhi. Our office is on the third floor of the 2713-16 building. It’s a busy street, as you can probably imagine. There is always the sound of traffic and people shouting below. Being on the third floor gives us a little bit of a break from the chaos of the sidewalk. The building is older, which gives it a bit of character, though the stairs can be a workout if you’re not used to them. Inside, it’s all about the gems and the jewelry. We have a lot of stuff to keep track of, so the desks are usually piled with papers and boxes. It’s a very practical environment. We don't go for the high-end boutique look with velvet everything. It’s more about the actual goods and making sure they are handled right. Central Delhi is a fast-paced place to do business, and we have to keep up. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking the quality of what comes in. It is hard work, but we’ve been at it for a long time. We just open up in the morning, do our tasks, and try to keep things organized until it's time to lock up.
