Kamal Engineering Work

We are over here in Anand Parbat, specifically in Gali No 4F at 29/RE/3. It is a small workshop. Most days start early before the sun gets too high because the metal gets hot fast. Kamal Engineering Work has been in this lane for quite some time now. We mostly deal with mechanical parts and fixing whatever comes through the door. It is noisy and there is oil on the floor most of the time. My hands are usually black from the grease by noon. That is just how it goes here. There are a lot of shops in this part of Delhi, but we stay busy with our own stuff. People know the address because it is right near the corner. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix those first before we can even start on the customer jobs. It is not a fancy setup. We have a few lathes and some old tools that still work better than the new ones you see today. If you walk down Gali 4F, you will hear the grinding sound. That is us. We do not do much talking, mostly just measuring and cutting. The tea stall nearby brings us chai twice a day and that is usually the only break we take. It is hard work but it keeps us going. The space is tight but we manage. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get it done right so the customer does not have to come back twice for the same problem. It works for us.
