Jd - Leather Creations

We are located in Cannaught Place, right in the middle of all the noise and people. It is not a very big shop, just a small space filled with the smell of leather and some old tools. Jd - Leather Creations is mostly just us working on bags and belts by hand. My uncle started this a long time ago and I just took over. The table is usually covered in scraps of brown and black leather. We don't have those big machines you see in factories. It is mostly just cutting by hand and using the old sewing machine in the corner. Sometimes the light isn't great, but we manage. People find us when they are walking through the blocks looking for something that lasts longer than the cheap stuff you find in malls. It gets a bit dusty in here because of the old building, but that’s just how it is. We spend our days fixing zippers or making a custom wallet for someone who stopped by. It’s quiet work even though the street outside is always shouting. We don’t have a fancy website or a big sign. We just sit here and do the work. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of thread and have to wait for the delivery guy to fight through the traffic. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, but it keeps us going. Most of the regulars come back because they know we are still here in the same spot.
