Ivy Leather

We have been here at 1970 Bank Street for a while now. Ivy Leather isn't a fancy place, just a shop in Karol Bagh where we handle different kinds of leather goods. People walk in from the street looking for something specific, maybe a bag or a belt, and we show them whatever we have on the shelves at the time. It gets really busy around here on the weekends, and the noise from the traffic never really stops. Sometimes the dust from the road comes right inside, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep things very simple. There are a lot of other leather shops around this area, but we just focus on our own small corner and the people who visit us. My father used to say that the quality of the hide speaks for itself, so we don't do much talking or selling. We just show the stitching and the material. If you are walking down Bank Street, you will find us easily enough. It’s an old building with nothing modern about it. We have different skins and colors piled up in the back. Some days are slow and we just sit and check the inventory. Other days, we can barely keep up with all the questions. We don’t have a website, just the physical shop where you can actually touch the material. Most of our regulars know us by our first names. We just try to get through the day.
