Jai Bharat Salt Co

Our place is in Motia Khan, which is an area that stays pretty busy with all sorts of trade. Jai Bharat Salt Co isn't the kind of business that needs a fancy showroom. We mostly handle salt in bulk, so the space is filled with heavy white bags stacked on wooden pallets. The air here has a certain tang to it because of all the salt. It’s a very practical environment. We spend most of our time checking weights and making sure the bags are tied up tight so they don't tear. The walls are just plain brick, and the floor is concrete. We don't have many visitors except for the truck drivers and the regular buyers who have been coming to us for years. It’s a bit of a gritty area, and we get our hands dirty every single day. There’s no air conditioning, so we just leave the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through Motia Khan. We don’t really use computers for much, just a few notebooks to keep track of what goes out and what comes in. It’s hard work, and your back usually aches by the end of the shift, but it’s a steady living. We just focus on getting the salt moved to where it needs to go without any fuss.
