We’re up on the first floor at R-709 in New Rajinder Nagar. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s a decent spot. Jagjit Engineering has been around for quite some time, and this office has seen a lot of different projects come through the door. It’s not a huge space, so things can feel a bit cramped when we have all the blueprints and drawings spread out on the big table in the middle. We spend a lot of time on the phones or looking at technical specs. The neighborhood is mostly residential with some shops, so it’s a bit quieter than being in a main industrial zone, which we like. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the curtains are a little faded from the sun, but it’s comfortable enough for us. We have a small pantry where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for when visitors come. Usually, it’s just the sound of the fans and someone tapping on a keyboard. We’ve got a couple of regular visitors who drop by just to chat about the local news while we work. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t have a receptionist or anything; you just walk in and one of us will look up from whatever we’re doing. It’s simple and it works for us and the people we deal with daily.
