Iqra Leather Creations

We are located at A 12 in the S P Mukherji market, which sits on Faiz Road in Karol Bagh. This area is always buzzing with energy, and the smell of leather is pretty much everywhere around us. Iqra Leather Creations is just a small unit in a very old market. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the floors are made of hard stone. We have piles of leather hides sitting in the corners, waiting to be cut. It is a bit cramped inside because we have to fit the sewing machines and the workbenches all in one room. The noise from Faiz Road never really stops, so we have to speak up to hear each other. We use these old ceiling fans that wobble a bit, but they keep the air moving. Most of the day is spent measuring and cutting, and our hands are usually covered in some kind of dye or glue. There is a small sink in the back where we wash up. We have been in this market for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It is not a place for show; it is a place for hard work. We just sit on our stools and focus on the pieces in front of us until it is time to go home.
