Indian Railway Catering & Tourism

We are located on the 9th floor of the Bank of Baroda Building over on 16 Parliament Street. Being right in the middle of such a busy area means there is always something going on outside. From our windows, you can see the hustle of the city, especially during the morning rush. This office handles a lot of the administrative side of the catering and tourism for the railways. It’s a pretty standard office setup with rows of desks and plenty of computer monitors. We have a lot of files stacked up because the railway system is huge and there’s always something to keep track of. It can get a bit loud when everyone is on the phone at the same time, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. The elevators in the building can be slow, so we often find ourselves waiting around and chatting with people from the other floors. We don't have any fancy decorations; it's mostly just calendars and maps of the rail lines. The staff here has been around for a long time, and many of us have spent our whole careers working with the railways in one way or another. Lunchtime usually involves someone bringing in food to share, and we sit around the small table in the back. It’s a busy life, keeping up with all the schedules and bookings, but it’s what we know. It’s just a regular day at the office for us.
