Ghai Engineering Works

We've been here in Gali No 9 for a while now. It's a busy spot in Anand Parbat. We do mostly metal work and repairs. The workshop isn't big but we get things done. People bring in parts that need fixing or custom making. It gets noisy with the machines running all day. Sometimes the tea guy comes around while we're middle of a job. We don't have a fancy office or anything. It's just a place where we work with our hands. If you walk down M 24/1, you'll see us. We've seen the neighborhood change over the years. Some shops closed, others opened. But we stay busy with the lathe machines and welding tools. It's dusty work but it's what we know. Often we're here late finishing a batch of parts for someone who needs them by morning. We don't really do big advertising. Most people just know we're here because they've been coming for years. Our floor is always covered in iron shavings. We keep a few chairs for when customers want to wait. It's not the most comfortable place but the work gets done. We just handle the engineering jobs as they come in. Nothing more to it than that. We just show up and start the machines. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer and the fans just move the warm air around, but we keep going. The neighbors are mostly other workshops so no one complains about the noise we make. It’s just how things go on this street.
