Gaurav Engineering

Our office is situated at C-33 in the Jhandewalan F.F. Complex in Delhi. It is an older commercial building with a lot of stairs and narrow hallways that are always bustling with people. We do a variety of engineering tasks here, and the space reflects that. It is filled with technical tools, old files, and various pieces of equipment waiting to be looked at. We do not have any polished floors or expensive furniture; everything we have is strictly for utility. The lighting is mostly from fluorescent tubes because the windows do not offer much of a view. It can get quite cramped when we have a lot of projects going on at once, so we often have to shuffle boxes around to make a bit of legroom. The heat in the summer is something we have just learned to live with, using a few wall fans to keep the air moving. Most of our day is spent at our desks, working through technical problems or talking to people over the phone. We have a routine where we get tea from the local vendor every afternoon, which is a nice break from the technical work. It is a simple, no-nonsense environment where the main focus is just completing the day's list of tasks. We have been part of this complex for years and know many of the other tenants who work nearby.
