We've been here in Karol Bagh at 16/915-E/7 for a good while now. It’s right near the Shiv Mandir on Tank Road, so you can always hear the bells in the morning when we are opening up. Ganesh Gali No 3 is a bit tight, especially when deliveries come in and the rickshaws are trying to get past at the same time. We spend most of our day just moving boxes around and checking the stock we have. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. People around here know us as the place that’s always open early. We don't really do anything fancy, just keep the shelves filled and make sure we know where everything is kept. Sometimes it’s a bit messy when we get a big shipment, but we clear it out by the evening. My nephew helps me out with the heavy lifting most days. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The shop isn't huge, but we make it work for us. We’ve seen the street change a lot over the years, more shops opening up and more people moving through, but our spot stays the same. Most of our day is just talking to people who walk in and figuring out what they need for their own shops. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we pull the shutters down at night.
