Subhash Crockery Store

Subhash Crockery Store has been at number 7 on Panchkuian Road for quite some time. This road is well known for all kinds of furniture and household stuff, and we are right there in the mix. Our shop is packed with plates, bowls, tea sets, and glass items of all shapes and sizes. You have to be a bit careful walking around inside because there is a lot of breakable stuff stacked on the shelves and even on the floor sometimes. We spend a big part of our day wrapping items in old newspapers or bubble wrap so they don't chip on the way home. It is a bit of a dusty job, and our hands are usually dry from handling all the cardboard and ceramic. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the same old shelves we have been using for years. People come to us when they are setting up a new kitchen or if they just broke a favorite mug and need a replacement. During the festival seasons, the shop gets really crowded and it can be hard to keep track of everyone, but we manage. Panchkuian Road is always busy with cars and rickshaws, so there is a constant hum of activity outside our door. We like being a part of this market and seeing the different people who stop by to look at the cups and plates. It is just a straightforward local shop for local people.
