Dhingra Bakery

Dhingra Bakery is tucked away at 1/5130, Krishan Nagar in Karol Bagh. It’s a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. We start very early, usually while it’s still dark outside, to get the big ovens going. The smell of fresh bread usually fills up the street by seven in the morning. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the glass counters and the equipment in the back. Being in Karol Bagh means we see a lot of different people every single day. Some neighbors have been coming here for decades. They want their regular items and we know their names by heart. We don't do anything too fancy, just the staples people need. Flour, sugar, and yeast are what we live by. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when it's raining outside, but people don't seem to mind much. We’ve got the 1/5130 address painted on the door, but most folks just find us by the scent of the biscuits. It can be very hot back in the kitchen, especially in the summer months. We just keep the fans running and keep working through the heat. Dhingra Bakery is a family thing, really. My cousin helps out, and my nephew is learning the ropes now. It is a lot of standing on your feet, but seeing people enjoy a loaf of bread makes it worth the effort. We stay busy and that’s good for everyone. It's just how we live.
