Balaji Foods & Grain Grinder

Our workshop is in the Roshan Baag Industrial Estate, right near the Bright Delhi School. Being in an industrial area means it is never really quiet. There is always the sound of engines or machines humming in the background from the neighbors. We have the grain grinders here, so that adds to the noise. It is a dusty job, and by the end of the shift, we usually have a thin layer of flour or grain on our shoes. We do not mind it though. It is the kind of work that makes you feel like you have actually done something with your hands. The space is large and open, which is good for moving the heavy sacks around without hitting the walls. We see the school kids walking by in the mornings and afternoons, which is a nice break from the industrial feel of the estate. We have got a couple of old fans that struggle to keep the place cool in the summer, but we manage. There is not any fancy decor or comfortable chairs here. It is a functional space for a functional business. We focus on the grinding and making sure the food products are handled right. We have had some of the same customers for years because they know we are reliable and we stay in our lane. It is not a glamorous life, but it is ours. We just keep the machines running and the grains moving through.
