We are located at 31/32 in Old Rajinder Nagar, which is a fairly quiet residential and commercial mix compared to other parts of the city. Ava Merchandising is basically a place where we handle a lot of different products and samples. The office is full of boxes and piles of paperwork that seem to grow every week. We spend a lot of our time talking to suppliers and checking on shipping dates. It’s a lot of coordination. The rooms are a bit cluttered because there's always new merchandise coming in for us to look at. We have a small team here and everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to packing up a last-minute shipment. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we usually go when we need a break from the computers. The lighting in the office isn't the best, and the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but we’re used to it. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy showroom. Most of our work is done through emails and phone calls, making sure that the goods get from one place to another without too many problems. It’s just a regular office where we try to stay on top of the orders. Sometimes things get delayed and we have to spend the whole evening sorting it out. The street outside can get a bit congested with students and delivery bikes, but that's just life here.
