Our team is currently stationed out at the NTPC Sipat Super Thermal Power Project. We are located in the Sipat area of Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh. It is quite a drive from the main city, but this is where the big construction is happening. Being on a site like this means a lot of dust, noise, and heavy machinery everywhere. It’s not your typical office job. We spend most of our time in the project area, checking on how things are being built and making sure the heavy industry side of things is moving along. It is a massive project and there are thousands of people working here from all over. Our little office on-site is where we handle the daily logs and planning. It’s practical and gets the job done. Sometimes the heat out here is really something else, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We don’t really have time for anything fancy. We eat our lunch, talk about the day's tasks, and get back to it. There is a sense of pride in seeing something this big come together, piece by piece. It’s a long-term project and we have been here for a good while now. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the schedule. There’s no room for mistakes when you’re dealing with this kind of heavy machinery and construction, so we just stay focused.
