The transformer division of Compton Greaves Limitedtransformer Division is based at the Sipat NTPC Site in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. This isn't your usual office in a city center. We are located right on the industrial site, surrounded by heavy machinery and large-scale infrastructure. It’s a very different environment. The air is often filled with the sound of the plant, and it can get quite dusty. We spend our days in a functional office space that was built to be near the actual work. It’s not about having a nice view or a comfortable lobby here. We have our desks, our maps, and our technical manuals. The site is huge, and it can take a while just to walk from one side to the other. Bilaspur is known for its heat, and during the summer, it can be quite intense out here at Sipat. We keep the coolers running and just get on with the tasks. We aren't here for show. This is where the real work happens for the transformer division. We wear our safety gear and follow the site rules. It’s a rugged, practical lifestyle. We eat our lunch in the site canteen and talk about the day’s challenges. It’s an honest, hardworking atmosphere. We don’t need any fancy language to describe it. We just do what needs to be done every single day in this part of Chhattisgarh.
