Deepak Cements

We've been here at Plot No-2 in the Gidc area for a while now. Most people know us because we're right opposite the old marketing yard on Nagur Road. It’s a busy spot but we like it. We deal with cement mostly. It gets dusty around here sometimes with the trucks coming in and out all day. My brother and I manage the orders. If you're coming down Nagur Road, you just look for the yard and we are right across from there. Sometimes the traffic is a bit much in the mornings. We keep the stock ready for when the builders need it. It is just a straightforward yard operation. We don’t have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk and the bags piled up. The weather gets hot in this part of town, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early before the sun is too high. If we aren't at the desk, we're probably out back checking the inventory. People usually just drop by or give us a call when they are starting a new wall or a floor. It’s been this way for years. We know the neighbors pretty well by now. It’s just how things go here at Deepak Cements. Nothing too complicated about it. We have a small shed for the rain, but the cement stays dry inside. Sometimes we share a tea with the drivers while they wait for their paperwork. It’s a long day but we are used to it by now. The yard has been here since before the road was paved properly. We just keep doing our thing every day.
