Our office is over at Hig 30 in the Kalinga Vihar K-5 area of Patrapada, Bhubaneswar. It’s a residential-turned-commercial kind of neighborhood, so it’s a bit quieter than being right in the middle of the city market. We moved into this building a few years back to be closer to the growing construction zones on this side of Orissa. The space is basically a converted house, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than a standard office block. We handle the local distribution and sales for steel products around here. There’s a small yard in the back where we keep some of the smaller items, but the big stuff is handled through the main depots. Usually, it's just two or three of us in the office answering phones and writing out quotes for local contractors. We have a small tea stall nearby where we go for our breaks. The internet can be a bit spotty sometimes when the weather is bad, but we manage to get the work done. We aren’t trying to be the biggest player in the state; we just want to be reliable for the people who come to us. It’s a simple setup, and we don’t spend much on decorating or anything like that. As long as the desk is steady and the phone works, we’re good to go. Most days are steady without being too chaotic, which suits us just fine.
