Our place is at Plot No. 3484/6179 in Kapileswar Vihar, over in Palasun. National Ispat And Power Pvt. Ltd. sounds like a big name, but we’re just regular folks working in the steel and power sector. The site is usually pretty busy with trucks coming in or people moving equipment around. It’s a dusty place, as you can imagine with this kind of work. We have a small office building on the plot where the paperwork gets done. It’s not very fancy inside, just basic desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. The noise from the machinery is something you just get used to after the first week. We deal with a lot of heavy materials and the logistics of moving them. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure everyone is where they need to be. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so everyone tries to get the outdoor stuff done early. We have a small break area where we eat lunch and talk about the news or whatever else. It’s a tight-knit group here because the work is hard and you have to rely on each other. We’ve been in Palasun for a while now and seen the area grow. We just do our bit and try to keep things moving. It’s a lot of long hours, but it’s rewarding in its own way for us.
