Utkal Galvanizers Ltd is situated in the Bda Housing Colony at Hig-Ii / 63. This is in the Kapila Prasad area of Old Town, Bhubaneswar. It’s a fairly quiet residential-style colony but we have our operations set up there. Being in Orissa, specifically in the Old Town area, gives us a good connection to the local community. We do galvanizing work, which involves a lot of heat and metal. It's not the most glamorous job, but it is necessary for a lot of construction projects in the region. The office handles the admin side of things while the actual work happens where the equipment is. We’ve been at this address for a long time. People around here know us as the local galvanizing guys. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media team. We just rely on the work we’ve done over the years. The weather in Bhubaneswar can get really humid, which makes the work even harder in the summers, but we just get through it. Our office has a lot of old ledgers and some dusty samples of metal on the shelves. It’s not a place for a fancy meeting, but it’s where the real decisions get made. We drink a lot of water and try to stay cool while we sort out the orders. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it. We are just glad to be a part of the local industry here and keep the metal from rusting.
