Photography in a place like Bhubaneswar means you’re always dealing with the light and the weather. We don't have a giant studio with marble floors or anything like that. It’s a more humble setup where we keep our cameras, lenses, and tripods ready to go. A lot of our time is spent out and about in the city, taking photos of people, weddings, or just whatever is happening on the streets. Bhubaneswar has so much history and so many old buildings, it makes for a good backdrop even if the sun is a bit harsh sometimes. Back at the office, we spend hours sitting at the computer, looking through hundreds of frames to find the ones that came out okay. Our desks are usually cluttered with memory cards and batteries charging in every outlet. It’s a job that requires a lot of patience, especially when you’re waiting for people to stop moving or for the rain to let up. We aren't trying to be the most famous shop in town; we just like taking pictures that look real. Sometimes the gear gets heavy when we’re walking around all day, but it’s part of the routine. We talk to a lot of families and meet new people almost every week. It’s a nice way to spend the time, even if our backs hurt from carrying the bags. We just take it day by day.
