Site Engineer

My name is Biswajit Sasmal, and I run Site Engineer from I.G Colony in Lingipur. I use my father Basudev’s place as my base of operations, specifically Plot No A 11/35 near Sisupalgarh. It’s a good spot in Bhubaneswar, away from the main city rush but close enough to get anywhere quickly. Being a site engineer in this part of Odisha means dealing with a lot of different kinds of terrain. I spend most of my days out in the field, away from the desk. My work involves a lot of checking and double-checking. Construction can be messy, and mistakes are expensive, so I try to catch them before they happen. I’m not a big company with a HR department or a PR team. It’s just me and the work. I’ve got my maps, my measuring tapes, and my laptop. When I’m not at a site, I’m usually back at the colony, working on reports or looking over the next set of drawings. The neighbors see me coming and going at odd hours, depending on when a pour is happening or when a surveyor is available. I like the independence of it. I don’t use fancy jargon when I talk to clients. I just tell them what’s happening with their project in a way that makes sense. It’s a busy life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I just focus on the task at hand and try to be as accurate as I can for every job.
