About Civil Engineer – Builders & Developers in Bhubaneswar
I’m a civil engineer working out of Vim-831 in Sailashree Vihar. This part of Bhubaneswar, around Chandrasekharpur, has grown a lot lately. I’ve seen this area change from mostly empty plots to all these houses and offices we have now. My office is basically my home base here in the 751021 area. Dealing with the climate in Orissa means you have to be careful about how you build, especially with the humidity and the rains we get. I spend a lot of my time traveling to different sites across the city, but Sailashree Vihar is where I do all my planning. My workspace isn't anything fancy—just a table, some chairs, and a lot of rolled-up blueprints. I’ve lived here for a while, so I know most of the local contractors and where to get the right materials without getting overcharged. It’s not a corporate setup at all. Usually, someone just rings the bell or calls me up because their neighbor told them I could help with a foundation or a roof issue. I try to be straightforward with people about what can and can't be done within their budget. Some days are long, especially when a project is at a critical stage, but I prefer being out on the field over sitting behind a computer all day. It’s just me doing my thing as an engineer in this corner of the city. I don't have any big staff, just myself and my tools.
