Our setup for Scottwilson India Ltd is located in Itipur, which falls under the Lingaraj police station area in the Khurda district. It’s a bit away from the main city center of Bhubaneswar, but that’s fine by us. The pin code is 751002. Being near the Lingaraj area gives the place a bit of a traditional feel, and we’re quite close to some of the well-known local spots. The office itself is a basic building. We haven’t done much to the outside, so it looks like most of the other structures on the street. Inside, it’s all about work. We have our files stacked where we can reach them and our computers on old wooden desks. It’s not the kind of place that would be in a magazine, but it’s comfortable for those of us who spend our days here. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too hot. Odisha weather can be quite something, so we have fans going all the time. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so there is a lot of talk about local events and what’s happening in the neighborhood. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated plans. We just look at what needs to be finished today and we do it. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and being in Khurda feels like home to us.
