Kwality Flour Mill

We operate out of the Municipal Market in Ganga Nagar, over here in Bhubaneshwar. Our mill is located right near the Kali Mandir, so you can often hear the temple bells while we are working. It’s a noisy place because the grinding machines are going most of the day. The air is usually a bit white with flour dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. We get people bringing in their grain, and we spend our time turning it into flour for them. It’s a very manual process and your hands get rough after a while. The Municipal Market is a lively spot with a lot of different vendors selling vegetables and household goods. We fit right in with the rest of the stalls. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just a physical spot where you can see the work being done. Sometimes the machines need a bit of a kick to get started in the morning, but they’ve been reliable for the most part. We write everything down in a big book to keep track of who brought what. It’s a traditional way of doing things, but it works for us and the people in Ganga Nagar. We just focus on getting the flour ground right so people can take it home for their rotis. It’s simple, hard work, and we are fine with that.
