Deputy Manager

We are based out of a place in Gajapati Nagar in Jatni, which is part of the Khurda district in Orissa. The office is actually located at Parvati Amma’s house, which gives it a very different feel from a standard commercial building. It is near the masjid, so we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which kind of marks the time for us while we work. As the Deputy Manager’s base, we handle a lot of the local coordination from here. Jatni is a railway town, so there is always a bit of a hum in the air from the trains and the general bustle of the market nearby. The address is Po Jatni, Pin 752050, for anyone trying to mail us things. Working from a residential setting means it’s a bit more relaxed than a high-rise office. We have our desks set up in a way that makes sense for the space we have. There is a lot of back-and-forth with the main office and local contractors. It can get a bit hectic when multiple people are trying to talk over the phone at once. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just the usual coming and going of people involved in our projects. It’s an honest, small-scale operation where we focus on managing the daily tasks assigned to us in this part of Orissa.
