Radiochoklet104 Fm-Estern Media Group is based out in West Bengal, specifically in Post-Abash, Paschim Midnapour. It's a bit of a journey to get here if you're coming from the bigger cities. The office is in a quiet area compared to the chaos of Kolkata. We do radio stuff here. It's mostly about keeping the music playing and the news going for the local people. We've got microphones and mixers and a bunch of cables running everywhere. Sometimes the rain in West Bengal gets really heavy and you can hear it on the roof while we are trying to record. It makes for a very local feeling, honestly. The people working here are just regular folks from the area who like being part of the media. We don't have a fancy dress code or anything. Most days it’s just shirts and sandals. We drink a lot of tea while we plan the day's schedule. It’s a nice enough place to spend the day. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just run the station and try to keep things interesting for whoever is listening. Midnapour is a good place to be, even if it’s a bit out of the way. We like being part of the community and playing their favorite songs every single day.
