We’ve been running Singhai Foods from our place at Singhai-Villa, A-40, for quite a while now. It’s located in the Bda Koh-E-Fiza area, which is a nice spot though the traffic can get a bit much during the day. This isn’t some big, faceless corporation. It’s just us, working out of a residential-style setup. We spend most of our mornings unloading supplies and getting orders ready for the day's deliveries. The kitchen area is always busy, and there’s usually a pot of tea going for whoever stops by. We handle a lot of different food items, mostly local stuff that people use every day. We don’t have fancy marketing or a big sales team. Most of our customers are people we’ve known for years. Sometimes things get a little disorganized when three trucks show up at once, but we always figure it out. The house is often filled with the smell of whatever we are packing, which isn't always a bad thing. We do a lot of the work by hand, from weighing bags to sticking on the labels. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and lifting heavy crates, but it keeps us busy. We just try to get the orders out on time and make sure everything is clean. It’s a simple life, really. We like being part of the neighborhood here in Koh-E-Fiza and just doing our regular work every day.
