Shree Ambe Steel

Our shop is over on Vidisha Road in Bhanpur. It's Shop No.1, right across from the Pashu Market. Being near the market means there is always something going on, usually a lot of noise from the animals and the trucks coming in. We spend most of our time moving steel around. It’s cold, heavy, and leaves your hands smelling like metal all day. We have been here for a while and the walls are a bit stained from the exhaust of the passing traffic. It isn't the cleanest place to work, but it gets the job done. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone needs a specific length, we go back and find it. Sometimes the delivery truck is late because Vidisha Road gets backed up, especially on market days. We don’t really do anything special, just keep the steel organized and wait for customers. The fan in the corner rattles quite a bit, but we don't notice it much anymore. It’s just a regular shop where we do our business and try to get the orders right. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have been buying from us for years. We just keep our heads down and work. It is a straightforward way to spend the day and we are quite used to it now.
