We are based at 4/22 in the Income Tax Colony area of Bharatnagar, right in Arera Colony, Bhopal. Ganga Iron & Steel Trading Co. is mostly about buying and selling. We don't manufacture anything here; we just move the goods from one place to another. Our office in E-8 is where the phone calls happen and the ledgers are kept. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it stays relatively calm compared to the big industrial zones. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking on delivery trucks. Sometimes the iron prices fluctuate and it makes the week a bit stressful, but we’ve learned to deal with that over the years. We aren't trying to be a massive corporation. We just like running a steady trading business that people can rely on. The staff here has been together for a while, so we work well as a small team. We don't have any fancy mission statements posted on the walls. We just want to make sure the orders get to the right people in Bhopal and beyond. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks and talk about the day. It’s a normal, everyday kind of business. We’ve built up some good relationships with local contractors who trust us to get them what they need without any fluff. We just keep our books straight and the trucks moving.
