We have been running Sant Caterers for several years now right here near the bus stop in Kotra. Sultanbad is a place that never really stays quiet for long and we have grown used to the sound of the buses coming and going all day. The shop isn't anything special to look at but it is where we spend most of our waking hours. My uncle started this whole thing and now a few of us carry it on together. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website because we prefer to just talk to the people who walk through the door. Most of our work involves heavy lifting of those big cooking pots and making sure the spices are fresh from the market every few days. It gets pretty chaotic when we have three different orders to finish on a Saturday morning. You can hear the shouting and the clatter of plates from the street. Sometimes we run out of space to stack the crates so they end up on the sidewalk for a bit until the van arrives. We try to keep things honest and just cook the way we were taught by our elders. There is no secret formula or anything like that. We just use good oil and make sure the salt is right. If you are around Sultanbad you have probably seen us loading up our old white van near the stop.
