Salasar Steel & Profile Industries is located at Plot No.161 in Sector New H of the Govindpura Industrial Area. Being in an industrial zone means it's always loud and dusty, but that's where the work happens. We have a large shed where we do all the profiling and steel work. It’s not a clean place, there are metal shavings and scraps everywhere, but that’s just part of the process. We have a few machines that run most of the day. The guys on the floor know exactly what they’re doing. Our small office is tucked away in one corner of the plot. It’s mostly where we take orders and handle the billing. We don’t have any slick brochures or sales people. People usually find us because they need specific steel profiles and know we can make them. Govindpura is a tough place to work, especially when it’s hot, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. We just focus on the specs and making sure the pieces are cut right. Sometimes things go wrong with the machines and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We don’t talk much about the future, we just look at what’s on the schedule for today. It’s hard, honest work for everyone involved. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders that come through.
