Moni Associates

Our office, Moni Associates, is located down in the lower ground floor at Western Plaza. If you know the Kolar Road area in Chunabhatti, you’ve probably passed by us many times. We are right opposite the Kali Mata Mandir, which makes it easy for people to find the building when they are looking for us. It’s a bit quieter down in the LG 21 unit compared to the main street noise outside. We spend most of our day dealing with various documents and helping people with their daily paperwork. Sometimes it’s tax stuff, other times it’s property things or just general advice on how to fill out complicated forms. People usually come in with a plastic folder full of papers looking a bit confused about what to do next. We just sit down and go through it one by one with them. It isn't very exciting work, but it’s what we know how to do. The light in the office isn't the brightest but we have a good desk and some plastic chairs for visitors to sit in. Chunabhatti is a busy part of Bhopal and the traffic outside can get really loud in the late evenings. We usually close up once the temple across the road gets busy for evening prayers and the bells start ringing. There is always some tea being passed around if a friend drops by to chat. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure the files are organized well.
