Sushil Chaudhary Photography

Being a photographer in Bhopal means I spend a lot of time outside. My name is Sushil Chaudhary and I’ve been doing this for quite some time now. Most days I’m just packing up my bags with cameras and lenses and heading out to wherever the work is. Bhopal has some great spots for photos, but mostly it’s about the people I meet. I don't have a massive studio with lots of assistants; it’s usually just me and the gear. I spend a lot of hours sitting at my computer later on, going through everything I shot during the day. My eyes get pretty tired by the end of the night. It’s a lot of work that people don’t see, like the editing and the organizing of files. I like the variety though, one day I might be at a wedding and the next I’m just taking some portraits. The weather here can be a bit unpredictable, so I always have to check the sky before I leave the house. Sometimes the light is perfect and other times I’m just struggling with shadows. It’s a job like any other, really. I have to keep my batteries charged and my memory cards empty. I’ve lived in Bhopal all my life, so I know my way around the different neighborhoods pretty well. It helps when I’m trying to find a specific look for a shoot. I just try to take decent pictures that people like.
