Chwla Caterers

We've been running Chwla Caterers here at Jawahar Chowk in T T Nagar for a while now. Most people know our spot at S 14. It’s just how we do things, keeping the kitchen busy and the food moving out to families around the area. It started small, just a few of us cooking what we knew. We don't have fancy offices or a big team of suits, just people who know their way around a large pot. Usually, someone is always washing dishes or chopping onions when you walk in. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit since we opened, but S 14 stays mostly the same. We handle the food for all sorts of gatherings. Sometimes it's a small lunch at home, other times it’s a big wedding that takes up the whole street. We don’t overthink it. People call us, tell us what they need, and we figure out how many kilos of rice or how much dal to prepare. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day in the heat, but it keeps us busy. We don't do much advertising because most folks just find us by word of mouth or by seeing our van parked near Jawahar Chowk. If you need something, you can usually find one of us hanging around the shop. We just try to get the food there on time and make sure there’s enough for everyone who shows up. That's pretty much our day-to-day life here.
