N R K Enterprises is located at Shop No-150 inside the Om Textile Tower on Pur Road. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know the tower is a landmark for anyone looking for cloth or textile supplies. Our shop is one of many in the building, but we’ve carved out our own little space here. It’s filled with samples and rolls of material that sometimes spill out into the walkway. We spend a lot of time talking to traders and tailors who stop by to see what’s new. The tower can get very crowded, especially on market days, and the noise of people bargaining is constant. We don't have a big air conditioner, just a couple of fans that do their best to move the air around. Our records are kept in big binders behind the counter. It’s a bit old-school, but it works for us. We’ve been on Pur Road for a long time and have seen many shops come and go. We stay because we know the people and the business. Most days involve a lot of unfolding and folding fabric, which can be tiring for the back. We drink a lot of water and try to stay cool while we wait for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in the textile trade without making a big fuss about things.
